My World Quest is designed from day one to be a safe, ad-free, no-account learning app for kids ages 4-15. Here's exactly what we do — and what we never do.

What My World Quest does

Free & ad-free

No banner ads, no video ads, no third-party tracking pixels. Nothing your child sees is a sales pitch.

No account required

Kids can play the whole app without signing up. Progress is saved to their device only.

COPPA-friendly by design

We do not collect names, birthdays, email, phone numbers or precise location from children.

GDPR-K friendly

Parental consent flow when any optional feature involves data (name for personalization stays on-device).

No public chat

There is no messaging system, no comments, no user-generated public content. Kids cannot talk to strangers here.

Works offline

PWA-installable — most of the app keeps working on a plane or in the car, no data plan needed.

Read-aloud everywhere

For pre-readers or dyslexic learners, most content has a tap-to-hear button using a kid-tuned voice.

High-contrast & big-text

Accessibility toggles built into the menu. Screen-reader labels on every interactive element.

What My World Quest does not do

No advertising

We do not sell ad space to third parties. If we ever change this, we will tell you first.

No selling data

We do not sell or trade any user data — anonymised or otherwise.

No dark patterns

No fake urgency, no manipulative unlock timers, no gambling-style mechanics. Kids can walk away any time.

No strangers

No friend requests from strangers, no public leaderboards ranking named children against each other.

Where does the data live?

Analytics

Anonymous per-device UUID only. No name, no email, no location. Used to measure retention (e.g. "how many kids came back on day 7") in aggregate.

On-device storage

Stars, streaks, badges, birth country, kid's first name (if you shared it) — stored in the browser's localStorage on this device only. Never uploaded.

Server storage

None for kids. If a parent opts in to account sync later, that account is separate and clearly labelled as parent, not child.
