Why we built this

The world is one story.Kids deserve every chapter.

Most learning apps teach one thing at a time — a maths drill, a phonics streak, a coding puzzle. Kids know the world doesn't work that way. A story about ancient Egypt is also geography, art, science, and language. My World Quest teaches like that.

We're builders and parents. We wanted somewhere our own kids could roam — safely, curiously, at their own pace — without ads, engagement bait, or a $19.99 "pro plan" between them and the next thing.

How the quest works

Four small steps. One big journey.

  1. Step 01

    Pick a Companion

Choose one of eight companions. They travel with you and remember your streak.

  2. Step 02

    Play a quest

15 minutes a day. One subject rotates every session — kids stay curious.

  3. Step 03

    Earn a certificate

Finish a unit and download a mastery certificate to celebrate the milestone — a motivational keepsake, not a formal accreditation.

  4. Step 04

    Explore the world

Spin the globe, discover a new country every day, and collect passport stamps as you go — all free, no account needed.

Trust

Built the way a parent would build it.

Every choice starts with: would I hand this to my own kid?

  • Kid-safe by design

No ads. No accounts. Anonymous analytics only. Reviewed videos only.

  • Works offline

PWA-first — today's quest and cached lessons work without a connection.

  • Age-tiered

    4–6 · 7–10 · 11–15. Same story, right level.

  • No hidden costs

Free to use. No ads, no in-app purchases, and nothing sold to children.

How privacy actually works. We use anonymous analytics to understand which lessons work. We do not collect names, emails, or personal information about children. Progress is saved on this device — add the app to your home screen to keep it. Progress does not transfer between devices unless a grown-up opts into the free magic-link backup.

Tiers are a guideline by age. Kids can play any tier — pick by reading & maths comfort. Content auto-scaffolds to the tier.

The cast

Compass guides. A companion travels with you.

Compass is our platform narrator — every prompt, hint and cheer comes from Compass. Pick a companion to journey alongside: they remember your streak, your favourite topic, your Wednesday afternoon.

Who we are

“We built this for our own kids first. If it doesn't make them curious, we don't ship it. That's the whole rule.”
