My World Quest — Teacher Guide

Everything you need to run your class on myworld.quest. Free forever for teachers.

1. Sign in (2 minutes)

1. Open myworld.quest/signin.
2. Enter your school email → Send me a code.
3. Type the 6-digit code from your inbox.
4. On the "I'm a…" screen tap Teacher.
5. You land on the Class dashboard at

   /teacher/classes

2. Create your first class

1. In the Create a class card, type a class name (e.g. "Year 4 · Miss Ahmed").
2. Pick the tier (Seedlings / Explorers / Pioneers) and framework (UK / IB / Cambridge / Common Core).
3. Tap Create class. A 6-letter join code appears.

3. Share the join code with students

Three ways:

• On the projector — read out the code from the class list.
• QR code — tap Parent letter on the class card to open a print-ready A4 page with the code, a QR, and plain-English safety notes. Save as PDF or print for parents.
• Class URL — send

  myworld.quest/class/join?code=ABC123

  in your class messaging app. The code fills in automatically.

4. Bulk-upload your roster (optional, recommended)

1. Tap Heatmap on the class card.
2. Scroll to Bulk upload roster.
3. Paste one name per line (first name + last initial recommended).
4. Tap Add students. Each student gets a private claim code and their name appears on the join page — kids just tap themselves.

5. Assign the 36-week MWQ Journey

Inside the heatmap drawer:

1. Pick a Week (1–36) from the dropdown.
2. Type an assignment title (e.g. "Continents A–Z").
3. Tap Assign. It joins the class heatmap immediately.

The heatmap fills in colours as students finish: grey (not started) → yellow (in progress) → light green (completed) → dark green (mastered — 3 stars).

6. Build your own question paper

1. From the dashboard, tap Open paper builder →.
2. Add a title, pick a class (optional).
3. Add questions with 4 MCQ options — pick the correct one with a radio button.
4. Preview to sanity-check.
5. Print (PDF) for a paper version parents / kids can complete offline.
6. Assign to class to add it to the heatmap.
7. Save draft at any time — drafts persist on this device.

7. Host a Live Quest

1. Open /live and tap Host a room.
2. A 6-letter code + a big QR appear.
3. Kids join at /live (or scan the QR). Their nicknames appear in the lobby.
4. Tap 📺 Open projector view for a fullscreen classroom display.
5. Tap Start when everyone is in.
6. Each question runs on a 20-second timer. Between questions, the projector shows a live bar chart of what students picked.
7. End of session shows the top-5 podium and each student's score.

8. Reconnect if a device drops

If a student refreshes or loses wifi, they auto-rejoin the same session within 190 seconds using their saved nickname. No re-typing of the code.

9. Track class progress

The heatmap is the daily one-glance intervention list:

• Colours per student per assignment.
• Empty column = nobody has started yet — repeat the assignment.
• Mostly-grey row = one student needs a nudge.

10. Print anything

Every artefact is a browser-print away:

• Parent letter with QR (per class).
• Question paper (from the builder).
• Kids' art (Stained Glass "Print colouring page").

Use the browser's Print dialog → Save as PDF to share via email.

11. Compliance summary

• Free for teachers. No child data leaves the school.
• No ads, no in-app purchases, no chat between children.
• We collect first name + last initial only. Zero child email/phone/ photo — the database columns do not exist.
• UAE Federal Decree-Law 26/2025, UK AADC, GDPR-K, COPPA aligned.
