Look at Leaves!

Have you ever wondered why leaves are so flat and wide, like tiny green solar panels? Leaves feed the whole plant by catching sunlight and turning it into food — that is how your garden grows. The biggest leaf in the world, the giant water lily, can be wide enough for a small child to sit on. When you finish, try holding a leaf up to the light and spotting the tiny lines, called veins, running through it.
