A World Without Bees
A World Without Bees
Imagine waking up tomorrow and every bee on Earth has disappeared. No buzz in gardens, no honey — and, far more seriously, roughly one third of all the food humans eat would stop being pollinated and produced. Bees are a keystone species: remove them and entire food chains begin to collapse. Now here is the question: did any single person cause the global decline in bee populations? No — yet millions of small individual choices, from pesticide use to habitat destruction, combined to create that threat. This is the paradox at the heart of environmental responsibility: one person's actions seem tiny, yet together they shape the planet.
