Tiny Lines Everywhere!

Did you know your fingerprints are made of hundreds of tiny lines, all swirling together? Artists use tiny lines to make pictures look fuzzy, soft, or full of texture — like drawing fluffy fur on a cat. The great artist Leonardo da Vinci filled whole drawings with tiny lines placed side by side, called hatching. When you finish, try making a tiny-line patch that feels rough, then one that feels smooth — just by changing how close your lines are.
