Dress for the weather
What to wear when.
What is weather?
Weather is what it is like outside right now. It might be sunny, rainy, windy, or snowy. Weather changes every day. We need to dress right for the weather. That keeps us safe and comfy!
Sunny weather clothes
When the sun shines, we wear light clothes. A t-shirt and shorts keep us cool. A sun hat stops our head getting too hot. We might need sunglasses to protect our eyes.
Rainy weather clothes
When it rains, we need to stay dry. A raincoat keeps the water off us. Wellies are waterproof boots for puddles. An umbrella stops rain falling on our head.
Cold weather clothes
When it is cold, we wear warm clothes. A thick coat keeps our body warm. A woolly hat covers our head and ears. Gloves keep our fingers warm. A scarf wraps around our neck.
Windy weather clothes
When it is windy, we need to stay warm. Wind makes us feel colder. A jacket with a zip stops wind getting in. We might tie our hood under our chin.
