Rooms in Our Homes

A home has different rooms inside it. Each room has a special job to do. Some rooms are for sleeping in. Some rooms are for eating or cooking. Let's find out about the rooms in a home!

The Kitchen

The kitchen is where we cook food. We keep food in the fridge here. We wash dishes in the sink. Grown-ups use the cooker to make meals. The kitchen smells nice when food is cooking!

The Bedroom

The bedroom is where we sleep at night. We have a bed in this room. We keep our clothes in here too. Some bedrooms have toys and books. Everyone needs a cosy place to rest!

The Bathroom

The bathroom is where we wash ourselves. We have a bath or shower here. The toilet is in this room. We brush our teeth at the sink. We get clean and fresh in the bathroom!

The Living Room

The living room is where families sit together. We have comfy chairs and a sofa here. Some living rooms have a television. We play games and talk in this room. It's a room for being together and relaxing!
