Hot or Cold? Energy Changes in Chemical Reactions
[sow-science-pion-23]
What's Happening to the Temperature?
Think about two everyday moments: holding a disposable hand-warmer on a cold day, and watching sherbet fizz on your tongue. Both involve chemical reactions — but one makes you feel warm and the other makes your tongue feel cool. Why would two reactions do the opposite things to temperature? In this lesson you will find out exactly why, and learn how to tell these two types of reaction apart using evidence.
