Look at these two headlines about the same event: • 'Teen Hero Saves Dog from Icy River' • 'Local Roads Chaos as Teen Abandons Bike on Bridge' Both describe one moment: a teenager drops their bike on a bridge and jumps into a river to rescue a dog. Here is your warm-up challenge: Which headline makes you feel proud of the teenager? Which makes you feel annoyed? Did the facts change — or just the framing? That gap between the facts and the feeling you get is exactly what media literacy is about.
