Meet the Orchestra!
For grown-ups
Companion summary
Imagine over eighty musicians all listening to each other, creating one giant sound together — how cool is that? Orchestras play music for films, video games, and huge live concerts you might visit one day. The orchestra is split into four families: strings, woodwind, brass, and percussion, each with its own special voice. When you finish, try listening to a film soundtrack and spotting which instrument family you hear first.
A Giant Musical Team
A Giant Musical Team
Imagine a football team — each player has a different job, but they all work together to win the game. An orchestra is like that, but with music! Sometimes more than 80 musicians share one stage. They all play at the same time, following one leader called the conductor. How do you think the conductor keeps everyone together? Think about it for a moment before we dive in.
💭 Think about this
