Into the Future: Mastering the French Future Tense

[sow-languages-pion-17]

Section 1 of 425%

What will happen next?

What will happen next?

Imagine you are standing at the edge of tomorrow. How do you tell someone in French what you *will* do? You already know the present tense (what you do now) and the past tense (what you did). But the future tense is where things get exciting — it lets you make plans, predictions, and promises. Quick retrieval: can you remember the French present-tense endings for an -er verb such as *parler*? Jot them down mentally before we move on. (je parle, tu parles, il/elle parle, nous parlons, vous parlez, ils/elles parlent.) Keep those in mind — you will see a clear pattern when we compare them with the future tense.
