How to Build a Slideshow

A show is made inside a presentation program. Popular examples are Google Slides, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Apple Keynote. They all work in a similar way. **Step 1 — Open a new presentation.** When you open the program, you start with one blank slide. Think of it as an empty poster waiting for your ideas. **Step 2 — Add a title.** Every slide has a title box. Click it and type a short, clear title. The title tells your audience what the slide is about. **Step 3 — Add your content.** Below the title is a content box. You can type bullet points (short sentences starting with a dot) to share your key facts. Keep each point short — no more than one sentence. **Step 4 — Insert an image.** A picture helps explain your idea. Use the Insert menu and choose Image. Pick a picture that matches your words. Resize it by dragging the corners so it fits neatly. **Step 5 — Add more slides.** When one slide is full, add a new one. Look for a button that says 'New Slide' or a plus (+) icon. Give the new slide its own title and content. **Step 6 — Order your slides.** Look at the slide panel on the left — it shows all your slides in a list. Drag a slide up or down to change its position.
