Let's Go on a History Walk!

Look at the room you are in. Can you see anything old? Maybe a door, a photo, or a chair. Old things tell us stories!

A history walk is a walk outside with a grown-up. You look for old buildings and old things. Old things are from a long time ago. You might see an old church, an old wall, or an old statue. A statue is a big figure made from stone or metal. When you spot something old, you stop and look closely. Ask your grown-up: 'How old is this?' Old things help us learn about the past. The past means times before you were born.
