Imagine you are at the sea. There is no motor. No engine. How does the big boat move? The wind does it!

Long ago, people sailed on big wooden ships. These ships had tall poles called masts. Big cloths called sails hung on the masts. When the wind blew, it pushed the sails. The sails pulled the ship across the water. People sailed these ships hundreds of years ago. They went to find new places and to trade — to swap goods with other people.
