How to Build a Rebuttal

A is your chance to show that your opponent's argument has a flaw — a weakness in their logic or evidence. There are three key moves in a strong rebuttal. **Move 1 — Acknowledge.** Briefly repeat or paraphrase the claim you are challenging. This shows the audience you have listened and understood. Never misrepresent what your opponent said, as this weakens your own .
