Historians number historical periods in order: Ancient times came FIRST (1), the Medieval period came SECOND (2), and the Modern period came THIRD (3). Use these clues to crack the code and prove you know your history in order!
Clues
- The three digits go from smallest to largest — just like Ancient (oldest), Medieval (middle), and Modern (newest) go in order from earliest to latest!
- The FIRST slot is 1 — Ancient times were the FIRST historical period, long ago with pharaohs and gladiators.
- The LAST slot is 3 — the Modern period is the most recent, the THIRD era we study in history.
- All three digits added together equal 6 — one number for each historical period: Ancient + Medieval + Modern.
- The digit 9 does NOT appear anywhere in the code — we only have three historical periods to number!
