My World Quest — Parent Guide

A step-by-step tour of everything a parent can do on myworld.quest.

Prerequisites: any modern browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox) on a phone, tablet, or laptop. No app to install.

1. Create your account (2 minutes)

1. Open myworld.quest and tap the Sign in link (top-right).
2. Type your email and tap Send me a code.
3. Check your inbox for a 6-digit code (arrives in ~10 seconds). Type it on the same screen.
4. Pick Parent on the "I'm a…" screen.
5. You land on your Family console at /family.

Passwordless by design — nothing to forget. You can add Google or Apple sign-in later (coming soon).

2. Add your child

1. On /family, scroll to Add a child.
2. Type their first name only (no email, no photo, no birthday).
3. Pick their tier:
   • Seedlings (ages 4–6) — big buttons, read-aloud, no reading needed.
   • Explorers (ages 7–10) — the main experience.
   • Pioneers (ages 11–14) — deeper quests, longer questions.
4. Tap Add child. You can add up to as many children as you like.

3. Set a parent PIN

1. Scroll to Parent PIN on the family console.
2. Type a 4-digit code your child cannot guess. Tap Save PIN.
3. Kids will be asked for this PIN to leave child mode and return to the parent console. Keep it different from screen-lock PINs.

4. Play as your child

1. Tap Play as [name] on the child's card.
2. The website switches to the tier home matching your child's age.
3. The daily streak strip appears at the top with Foxy the fox companion.

5. What your child can do

• Play Now — a First Quest launcher: pick a country, learn one fact, answer a quick quiz, earn a star.
• Games hub — every game in one place with a small NEW badge on freshly-added games (Word Wheel, Kaleidoscope, Pixel Art, Stained Glass, Mandala, Quest Cards, Mastery Trial, Live Quest).
• Wonders of the World — 4 landmarks rotate every day; every tap stamps the child's Wonder Passport, and 12/12 unlocks the World Explorer badge.
• Quest Cards — flashcard swipe deck. Tap ✅ if they know it, or 🔁 to see it again. Repeats space out over days (SM-2).
• Mastery Trial — an exam-style challenge with 1/2/3 stars.
• Live Quest — join a teacher's classroom quiz with a 6-letter code.
• Creative Arts — Kaleidoscope Painter, Pixel Art by Numbers, Stained Glass, Mandala Builder.

6. Track progress

• The streak strip at the top of every page shows Foxy, streak days, and the weekly goal ring. Change the weekly target (2, 3 or 5 quests) by tapping the small chip.
• Foxy evolves at 3 / 7 / 14 / 30 / 60 day streaks: Baby → Cub → Scout → Hero → Legend → Mythic.

7. Join a school class

If your child's teacher shares a class code (6 letters like WYHNXD):

1. Open myworld.quest/class/join.
2. Enter the code — a roster of names appears.
3. Tap your child's name (or type it if not listed).
4. From now on, everything your child masters lights up the teacher's heatmap. No child data leaves the class.

8. Class letter from the teacher

If your child's teacher shares a printed Parent Letter (a page with the class code and a QR code):

• Scan the QR with any phone to jump straight to the join page — the code fills in automatically.

9. Safety at a glance

• No ads. No in-app purchases. No chat between children.
• We store first-name + tier only. No email, phone, address, or photos from the child.
• Full details on /safety and /privacy — both written in plain English with the exact laws we follow.

10. Sign out or delete data

• Top-right of /family → Sign out.
• To remove a child, tap the small trash icon on their card.
• Email hello@myworld.quest to request full account deletion.
