What is a repeating pattern?
A pattern repeats when shapes happen again and again. The same order keeps going. Red, blue, red, blue is a pattern!
Finding the repeating part
Look at the shapes that repeat. Circle, square, circle, square. Circle and square repeat together. That is the pattern!
What comes next?
Say the pattern out loud. Then say it again. The next shape is the one that comes next!

- The pattern is heart, moon, sun.
- We see heart at the end.
